Rootwood Cider
Lake Effect 7.4% (750 ml)
There’s nothing like a long sunny day at the lake. Rootwood Cider’s Lake Effect is our summer picnic pick. An elegant nod to Lake Chelan’s influence on weather and geography in Washington’s apple friendly Chelan Valley, this cider is an easy drinker, perfectly paired with simple spinach salad, chilled sesame noodles, and your toes in the ice cold water. Thriving orchards of the region inspire this crisp, bright and balanced cider with deep crabapple flavor, featuring a blend of Manchurian Crabapple and Winesaps.
Dragon’s Head Cider
Bittersweet 7.3% (750 ml)
Imagine strolling the blossom-filled Vashon Island, WA orchards, where Dragon’s Head grows a selection of traditional English and French cider apples. You don’t have to be island side to breath in spice, hay and earth aromas or to taste woody, citrus zest, and butterscotch profiles that come together when 20+ select apple varieties are thoughtfully blended. This well recognized, award winning cider is medium bodied, with layered tannins and a slight effervescence.
Peak Light Cider
Estate Plum 6% (750 ml)
Family farmed on Oregon’s Sauvie Island, Peak Light crafts ciders that are a creation of biodynamic orchard practices, rolling harvest days, and long fermentation times. Peak Light is a family farm dedicated to using organic and biodynamic practices. Their Estate Plum is a small batch, limited release cider that drinks like summer. Whole Methley and Beauty Plums are co-fermented with Peak Light’s classic field run cider, resulting in a delicate, plum-forward semi-sweet cider that is best enjoyed with friends, family and some afterglow.
Rootwood Cider
Rosé 6.3% (750 ml)
“Rosé all day” isn’t just for wine anymore. New traditions are taking root in the Chelan Valley. Rootwood Cider, owned by sisters who are fifth generation apple growers, focuses on small batch, handcrafted agricultural products. Rootwood’s Rosé Cider links the region’s historical apple industry and an emerging wine scene around Lake Chelan, WA. In this toast-worthy selection, spent wine grape skins lend their blush color and heightened tannins as they combine with complex cider apples to create a full-bodied blend.
