2 Towns Cider House from Corvallis, nestled in Oregon’s Willamette Valley wine region, is the most well known. Seeded from a dream three friends shared, to now being one of Oregon’s top producing craft makers, 2 Towns celebrates a decade in cidermaking, and the NW Cider Club includes their 10th Anniversary special release to commemorate. 2 Towns describes this cider as, “Boldly crafted using a blend of rare, heirloom cider apples, this anniversary cider is the embodiment of our ethos as cider makers.”

New to the market as of summer 2020, Peak Light Cider is located on the Columbia River’s largest island, Sauvie Island, just 10 miles northwest of downtown Portland, Oregon. This homegrown family farm operation uses sustainable growing practices and hand harvests all of their 65 apple varieties. The Field Run Semi Dry, included in the box is rooted in this principle, using a variety of estate apples that are packed with acids, tannins and flavors ideal for crafting nuanced cider.

La Familia Cider from Familia Gonzalez unites Oregon pride with Mexican roots. The Gonzalez’s settled in Oregon’s Willamette Valley in the 70’s, spending summers working hard in the strawberry fields. Beginning with original recipes of matriarch Lourdes Gonzalez, the ciders became a perfect vehicle for bringing flavors of Mexican cooking to the glass. La Familia ciders do more than make your taste buds happy, they pay it forward, helping families most-in-need with their legal immigration process. Their debut seasonal release, Guava Cider included in the box will brighten and delight your day.

A family owned and operated orchard and destination cidery dedicated to reviving America’s original beverage of choice, Salt Creek Cider House is located in the rolling hills of the Willamette Valley just outside of Dallas, Oregon. Salt Creek handcrafts, small batch ciders made with fruit from their own orchard and local neighboring orchards. Their Discover Oregon box selection, Rebel is their flagship and the inspiration for their cidery. An example of a classic, easy drinking cider made with a blend of local apples and pears.

DOUBLE MOUNTAIN BREWERY + CIDERY

Situated in picturesque Hood River, Oregon, the panoramic crossroads of the Columbia River Gorge and the Cascade Range Double Mountain Brewery + Cidery is best known for their quality craft beers (along with community, taproom and pizza!) which they started producing in 2007. More than a decade later, with a second taproom in Portland and a growing line of craft ciders, Double Mountain extends their commitment to quality and sense of stewardship to create an Heirloom Cider offering an “artistic blend of bitter sharp, sharp, and bittersweet varieties that develop the richness of old world apple flavor…”

Founded in 2016, Reveille Ciderworks, Astoria’s first and only hard cider manufacturer– opened its flagship taproom and laboratory on the Northernmost point of the Oregon coast, beautiful Astoria, Oregon. Reveille delivers an ongoing evolution of pre-prohibition farmhouse and country-style hard ciders that harken back to early American recipes long lost in the annals of history. Reveille’s Serious Black is an homage to Sirius Black (of the Harry Potter universe), our current blend of heritage and table-style Oregon apples is slowly fermented using our Belgian saison yeast with the addition of apricots and a custom blend of dried black tea.
